Terms of Use

StopMe · Last updated: August 23, 2026

Plain terms for StopMe. Using the app means you agree to them.

What the app does

StopMe blocks adult websites and any apps you choose, using Apple's Screen Time on your device. Adding a block takes effect immediately. Removing one starts a 24-hour waiting period, and nothing is removed automatically — when the wait is over you return to the app and take the block off yourself. Deleting StopMe does not remove blocks you have set.

What it does not do

StopMe is a self-control tool, not medical care, therapy or treatment, and it does not diagnose or cure anything. It cannot guarantee that no unwanted content will ever reach your device — no filter can. If you are in crisis, in the US you can call or text 988.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the device you install it on and for the blocks you choose. Do not use StopMe to restrict a device belonging to another adult without their knowledge.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, StopMe is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by agreement.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Questions: stopmebutton@gmail.com.
